Alice Ruby creates lo-fi glamour indie pop that blends ethereal vocals, dreamy guitars, and swooning strings. Inspired by artists like Suki Waterhouse, The Marías, Sky Ferreira, and Men I Trust, Alice’s music channels wistful nostalgia with a witty, pop sensibility.
With a background in film and music composition, The AU Review describes her sound as “lush cinematic indie pop.” Her debut singles Hitch Hiking, Cellophane, and December showcase her distinct dream-pop style. Cellophane held the #1 spot on the AMRAP Metro Charts for two weeks and received airplay on Triple J. Her work has also been featured in Palisade and The AU Review, included in curated Spotify and Apple Music playlists, and her music videos have been broadcast on Rage.
At just 21, she’s already built a dynamic career, having begun violin at age three before expanding into guitar, vocals, and songwriting. Now pursuing a Bachelor of Music and Arts, Alice continues to fuse classical training with her distinctive indie-pop sound.
