Adelaide alt-rock two-piece are marking the release of brand new track Beast Indeed with a trip across the border! On Saturday Jan 25th they'll be joined by punk rock duo Another Rotting Corpse and post punk Ze Wisenheimer at Nighthawks for a rowdy afternoon kicking off at 3pm.

We have toured Melbourne twice before, Adelaide twice (including Port Pirie and Whyalla), Darwin, Newcastle more times I can count, Wollongong, Canberra, going to Perth in a couple of weeks, and probably a few more places I have forgotten. In 2024 alone, we released an 11 track 7" EP on Grindhead Records, supported Full of Hell and Thou at their sold out Sydney show (450 cap) and supported Viscera Infest from Japan. You may recognise our other members from bands such as Diploid, Michael Crafter, Serial Pest and OAF.

Midnight Violet: Midnight Violet are an Indie-Folk quintet from Naarm/ Melbourne Australia. With influences from the likes of Mazzy Star, Leonard Cohen and Elliott Smith. The band is passionate about crafting a lyrical landscape and delving into the every day human experience that we all tend to overlook. Fronted by the enchanting vocals of Mia Haber, Tom Crane and Tom Riley on guitars, Paige McKenna on drums, and Josh Ten on bass and piano. Releasing their debut EP 'The Commute' in 2023 and three follow up singles in 2024 the band is currently working on their first album.

Paraquay: Charming the Naarm/Melbourne underground rock scene, Paraquay (pronounced para-key) have cemented themselves as one of the city's most electrifying new acts. Combining pop sensibility with raucous presentation, introspective lyrics and a tinge of awkwardness, the band capture the voice of an overwhelmed generation.

Grevillea Hedge: Derived from a shared love of playing music, four piece Grevillea Hedge broke into the Melbourne music scene in early 2022. Consisting of twins Gigi and Ila, who originally started jamming, which motivated them to expanded the band with Miles and Sage joining.The band take their influence from a broad range of music beginning from the 60s/70s, right up to the experimental possibilities of present day rock.

Digital Hardcore duo Super Death (QLD) are once again heading south to bring some of their new vibrations to all who are brave enough to listen. Joining them are some of Naarm’s weirdest and most wonderful electronically oriented acts, including: Vacuum (Industrial), Kai Cult (Hyperpunk) and Emerald Woods (Synth Punk). So please join us at the illustrious Nighthawks for a night of big synths and even bigger bass, if you dare.

The Nova Fiends are rhythm and melody driven, creating deep textures and atmospheres. With songs ranging from high energy punk numbers full of loud singing and louder guitar that are held together in only the loosest sense, to groovy and moody songs providing a backdrop to the lyrics that paint a vivid landscape of somnolence and paranoia.

Orange Orange is back just before the year ends to push the waters to their absolute limits. After an ambitious year of crafts and writing, Orange Orange brings a large, guitar-based band to Nighthawks to seek feedback for songs currently under construction – supported by Dog Door and Bowlos.

Orange Orange (experimenting with being pronounced as "double orange") is the diary-based solo project of Ryan Basile. Ryan, himself an accomplished songwriter, hopes his latest songs are more coherent and less off-putting that some of his earlier songs.

Dog Door (written by Ryan). Dog Door are a critically-acclaimed (to me and my friends) band that pride themselves on their love of doors. Releasing an EP last year "Every Door is a Dog Door" – it led me to consider the erroneous nature of passageways and whether they could be also be considered as "lived spaces". Anyway my favourite song from that EP is Under an Hour. Don't miss Dog Door.

Bowlos (written by Bill). Bowlos are a four piece alternative rock band hailing from Footscray. The result of childhood friendships, they draw wide and varied influences from indie, alternative and britpop. They are known for energetic shows, funny stage banter and tunes that aim to celebrate their lived experiences. (Ryan note: their banter is actually funny)

Energetic and innovative math rock trio fisheye are back and better than ever!! the band is bringing a thoroughly refreshed set to Nighthawks on December 15th, supported by beautiful sounds from upstanding indie rockers Sugargum and CARE.

Greeble are a sort-of-alt sort-of-rock sort-of-band, with slinking grooves and oozy melodies. They do not know Slint

D-Beam are an explosive trio in exploration of noise and extra-worldly rhythms. They might know Slint.

Melbourne rock trio CLAMM play a rare intimate show at Nighthawks joined by the sonic experience of Tongue Dissolver and DJ Miss Brenna O (of Bodies, Wet Kiss etc.). All profits from the show will go to Australia Palestine Advocacy Network in support of ending the genocide in Palestine.
