Lili-Violet - Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Melbourne, Australia, Lili-Violet is emerging as a compelling indie-pop/rock artist whose music resonates with raw authenticity and unfiltered emotion. Drawing inspiration from icons such as WILLOW, Kate Nash, Lily Allen, and Ruby Fields, Lili-Violet fearlessly explores taboo topics through her music, delving into themes of sexuality, identity, mental health, and disability.
"Unafraid to explore the grittier sides of life... Stepping onstage with her candid brand of badassery, she boldly declares a need for acceptance and tolerance while calling out the toxic realms of reality." - Nicole Mendez, The Other Side on 'Blue'
With a distinctive voice that captures both vulnerability and strength, Lili-Violet has already made waves with the release of five singles that have garnered attention for their introspective lyrics and infectious melodies. Her upcoming debut EP, titled Dear Lilith, set for release in August, promises to be a transformative journey. Through this EP, Lili-Violet invites listeners into her world—a world shaped by trauma, the complexities of self-discovery, and the empowering journey of finding love and power within oneself.
Lili-Violet stands out for her courage to tackle difficult subjects with honesty and sensitivity. Her music not only entertains but also serves as a reminder of the power art holds, to heal and inspire. With a childhood of family illness and disability, accompanied by (now obvious) undiagnosed ADHD and bullying, Lili-Violet began her songwriting journey as a therapeutic strategy which then continued to unfold.
Lili-Violet's EP is set to be released on the 22nd of August and will be paired with an EP Launch at Nighthawks in Fitzroy with supports from Kaiyah Mercedes and Jamison.
