Wilding delivers British-flavoured guitar-pop that blends dry kitchen sink lyrics of everyday life with a discordant art-rock swagger. Sometimes funny, sometimes insightful, always joyous.
Wilding launch their new double A-side single Difficult Day and Logical Steve. Difficult Day is a post-punk Kinksian singalong about the minor frustrations of an ordinary life. You’ve had a bad day, we get it. Logical Steve is an awkward disco of angular guitar stabs, pulsating 80s-synth lines and deadpan vocals. Within every generation there is a hero. That hero is Logical Steve.
Wilding’s fourth album is out soon on the iconic Half A Cow Records.
Joining Wilding will be the catchy slacker guitar-pop of Billy Cart and the debut Melbourne show from vibrant post-punk supergroup KIT, featuring member of The Tropes, Junior Fiction and Platinum Rat. Between bands, DJ Harry Rag will be playing wonky new wave and Britpop bangers.
