The Chop is an up-and-coming alt-rock trio based in Melbourne. Influenced by Nirvana, Ovlov, and The Pixies, they deliver powerful vocals, catchy riffs, heavy basslines, and high-energy drumming. Formed while studying music at Box Hill Institute in 2019, The Chop has been writing, recording, and performing, building anticipation for their self-titled album. After only their fifth gig, the band secured an impressive third place in the ACCESS ALL AREAS - BAND COMP hosted by Stay Gold. This achievement has further ignited their hunger to become mainstays in the Melbourne Rock Scene.
