Naarm-based post-punk outfit Great Australian Bank formed in 2019 by a posse of Tasmanian and Queensland expatriates. Influenced by Midnight Oil, Sonic Youth and The Church; Great Australian Bank promise aggressive, angular guitar music with a live show that pulls no punches.
After losing their previously scheduled EP Launch to a bout with covid, Great Australian Bank are giving this another go. One night to celebrate the release of their sophomore EP 'Water Tank' released in June. The festivities are overdue, but due nonetheless.
Joined Great Australian Bank are local legends Post Ghost and Walking To The Grocery Store. Friday 23 September at Nighthawks (Collingwood). Doors from 8:30pm. Bands from 9:00pm. $15 entry. Yes indeed.
