Loose Content are an Indie Rock band born and bred in the hinterland of Byron Bay (Bundjalung Country). The trio, consisting of members MiLLa (Bass and vocals), Sam Sanders (Guitar) and Aquila Porter (Drums & backing vocals), formed in early 2018, releasing their debut EP, ‘A Poem for Alix’ in February 2021. After winning the Mullum Music Festival Youth Mentorship in 2018, the group have gone on to play at internationally acclaimed festivals as well as shows at some of the region’s most iconic venues; The Great Northern Hotel, The Beach Hotel, Brunswick Picture House, Howl and Moan Records & The Rails. Following Loose Content’s crowning as the winner of the renowned Bluesfest Busking Competition, scoring a slot on the program at Bluesfest & time recording with Nick DiDia - producer of the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine & many more - they have been down south on tour supporting one of Australia’s most loved bands of the 90’s, Magic Dirt. Now done with school, the band will spend the first half of the summer in Melbourne (Naarm) playing they’re very own headline shows. With a growing collective identity & newly found aspirations, the next 12 months is anticipated to pilot Loose Content’s most musically fertile chapter.
