Melbourne/Naarm disco-pop outfit Supa Lucia are set to bring the glitterball down on Nighthawks this Saturday 5 December, celebrating the launch of their new single Demolition Night with a stacked bill of local talent.
Inspired by the infamous 1979 Disco Demolition Night in Chicago, the band’s latest release flips one of music history’s most notorious anti-disco moments into a dancefloor rebellion. Written and produced by Wesley Fuller, Demolition Night pushes Supa Lucia’s trademark disco-pop sound to new heights, pairing infectious hooks and soaring melodies with a tongue-in-cheek take on disco’s fight for survival.
The band’s third single of 2026 continues their mission to bring classic disco energy to a new generation, drawing on ABBA’s larger-than-life hooks and the theatrical pop sensibilities of Scissor Sisters.
Joining the lineup are ultra-funky Barefoot Spacemen and jazz-fusion party starters Punchbowl, promising a night of big grooves and a packed dancefloor.
With Demolition Night leading the charge, Supa Lucia are closing out the year in explosive fashion.
